Corrective Exercise Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Corrective Exercise Specialist to join our dynamic team. If you have a strong background in corrective exercise, injury prevention, and a passion for helping people improve their functional movement, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' movement patterns, posture, and musculoskeletal health.
- Develop and implement individualized corrective exercise programs to address specific needs and imbalances.
- Work closely with clients to guide them through exercises, providing modifications when necessary to ensure safe and effective execution.
- Monitor client progress, make adjustments to programs, and provide feedback on performance.
- Educate clients on injury prevention, body mechanics, and proper movement techniques.
- Collaborate with other fitness professionals and healthcare providers (e.g., physical therapists, chiropractors) to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research, and new corrective exercise techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of client assessments, progress, and exercise plans.
Qualifications:
- Certification in corrective exercise, personal training, or a related field (e.g., NASM CES, ACE, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in corrective exercise, injury rehabilitation, and movement assessments.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for helping clients achieve their fitness and health goals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in exercise science or related field preferred.
- Nationally accredited corrective exercise certification (ex. ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA, etc.) required.
- 1-3 years experience personal training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of strength and conditioning principles, exercise physiology, anatomy and kinesiology.
- Requires ability to professionally and effectively communicate with members, staff and supervisors; maintain confidentiality and exchange accurate information.
- Requires ability to effectively interact with, lead, and motivate members who have a variety of abilities and needs.
- Possess or obtain within the indicated time frame the following certifications and keep all current:
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED certification upon hire.
- New Staff Orientation & Listen First required within 60 days of hire.
- Child Abuse Prevention and Blood Borne Pathogens training required within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to apply CPR as needed and respond to emergency situations.
