Rate of pay: $15.00 – $20.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit invoices to insurance companies based on treatment and service records.
- Ensure accuracy in billing codes, payment amounts, and compliance with insurance policies.
- Track and follow up on unpaid or denied claims, appealing as necessary.
- Maintain records of billing transactions, adjustments, and payments received.
- Collect and review applications, referrals, or registration forms.
- Verify eligibility requirements based on program guidelines.
- Conduct interviews or assessments to determine service needs.
- Explain program details, requirements, and expectations to participants.
- Other duties as assigned. May need to support other Community Health Programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multi-lingual skills
- 1 Year Experience in Medical Billing
