POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the supervision of the Associate Membership Director the Membership Support Associate delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes membership and programs, maintains cleanliness and organization of the membership desk area in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

Tier 1 Entry level Major tasks
- Provide excellent customer service to members, guests program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
- Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members;
- Build relationships with members; help members connect with one another and the YMCA.
- Resolve membership concerns and inform the supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
- Balance the membership till and maintain records with a high level of accuracy.
- Attendance and punctuality are required.
Tier 2 Major tasks
- Able to pass tier one checklist
- Assist all new members with membership applications and sign up.
- Responsible for all program registration through computer software programs
- Assist in background checks for all members through policy
- Filing, checks and balances for daily paperwork.
- Communicates on a steady basis with directors and members.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy in all member/staff interactions.
Required Trainings
- Mandatory reporter of suspected abuse and/or neglect of children, elders and individuals with disabilities.
- All essential requirements by position. CPR/First Aid/Blood Borne Pathogens

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.75 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week TBD
