Overview:
The FWAS Grant side of our organization is seeking dedicated and experienced Afterschool Group Leaders to join our team. Urgent hiring for Ft worth zip code areas 76104, 76105 and 76112. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding a group of students in various activities from 2:30 - 6:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have experience working with children and are passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with a group of students during activities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and programs
- Provide guidance and support to students in their academic, social, and emotional development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students under your care
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Experience working with students in a daycare, classroom, or special education setting
- Strong sports coaching skills to facilitate physical activities
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques
- Ability to create engaging and educational lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs
- Familiarity with Christian counseling principles (preferred)
- Previous experience in childcare or babysitting (preferred)
