Pay Rate: $700 per week. Residence at camp is required from Sunday 12 pm to Friday 7pm each week during camp season, June 8 - Aug 15.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Camp, this person will coordinate and administer all operations associated with summer camp.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees the care and well-being of large groups of campers (20-150 )
- Provide supervision and support to all camp staff.
- Guide camp staff in the administration of quality programs by providing support, seeing that policies and procedures are followed, and goals are set and met.
- Cultivate positive relationships and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians, children and other staff. Models relationship building skills in all interactions.
- Help maintain on file all paperwork necessary to comply with State and County Health Department regulations as provided.
- Fulfill any necessary camp role to ensure the success of camps.
- Maintain all written records and reports for camps as deemed necessary by the Executive Director or Assistant Director of Camp.
- Assure customer satisfaction by making sure that camp staff has the resources necessary to provide members and program participants with the highest level of customer service.
- Assist with orientation and training to new and returning camp staff.
- Set an exemplary example for campers and other staff in leadership, moral judgement, respect for personal property, equipment and facilities.
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
- Implement and document a fire drill each week.
- Have a flexible schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Certifications: Adult/Child CPR, AED, Basic First Aid certification. Complete Medication Administration Training
- At least 21 years of age
- 3 years of successful experience working in a youth program setting
- Resident camp positions will be paid a weekly stipend for all hours worked within that week, on a bi-weekly basis.
- Resident camp positions will work Sunday 12:00p through Friday 6:00p with two nights off per week (Friday and Saturday).
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents, and address issues in a verbal and/or written format
- Experience preferred in one of the following areas: camping, songs/music, skits, recreational games, teambuilding, etc.
- Individual must have intermediate level of computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Google
