The YMCA of Greater Erie is actively seeking a full-time Youth Specialist Case Manager. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Case Manager plays a crucial role in the Erie County Re-Entry Services and Support Alliance (ECRSSA) program, which aims to reduce recidivism by helping youth and young adults successfully transition back into the community. This position focuses on individuals involved with the Group Violence Reduction Strategy (GVRS).
This position pays an hourly rate of $20.15-$24.19 contingent upon experience and will report directly to the Program Director - ECRSSA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Coordinate "Peace" events for youth and young adults involved in high-risk activities, offering guidance to help them choose a positive path.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with youth and their families to plan and organize Peace events.
- Build strong relationships with educators, law enforcement, and community leaders to facilitate support.
- Assist clients in obtaining essential resources such as identification, medical benefits, housing, and employment opportunities.
- Help clients with resume writing, interview coaching, and connecting with staffing agencies.
- Maintain case management records and documentation.
- Collaborate with community resources to support drug, gang, and violence prevention initiatives.
- Attend ongoing training to enhance skills.

This typical schedule for this full-time position is 37.5 hours per week. Days and times will meet the needs and schedule of your assigned location.
