What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguarding Professional position at YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids?
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must possess a strong understanding of aquatic safety protocols and procedures. You should have a high school education or equivalent, and up to one month of related experience. YMCA experience is preferred, but not required.
As a lifeguard, you will be required to obtain and maintain certification in CPR/AED and First Aid, as well as completion of an American Red Cross Lifeguarding course. You will also be expected to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with best practices and industry standards.
