Brief Description
The Association Director of Programs supports quality, consistency, and growth in YMCA program delivery across the association. This position provides operational guidance and assistance to program areas including Aquatics, Sports, Enrichment, ForeverWell, and Healthy Living. The Association Director of Programs collaborates with center-level leadership to ensure alignment with strategic goals, program excellence, and member engagement while promoting the YMCA’s mission and values.

Ability to use these programs to lighten work load, develop reports and to automate procedures is very necessary. Ability to diagnose basic PC problems and to communicate those problems is very important.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Program Quality and Support:
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure high-quality service delivery aligned with YMCA standards and member needs.
- Partner with program vertical leads to develop tools, training, and resources to improve program consistency and impact.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Provide guidance and training to center staff to enhance skills, operational knowledge, and program delivery.
- Work with center leadership to ensure staff adhere to standard operating procedures for programs.
- Evaluation and Reporting:
- Support program evaluation systems to measure program impact, member satisfaction, and adherence to YMCA standards.
- Collect and analyze data to support strategic decision-making and improvement initiatives.
- Operational Support:
- Assist in maintaining program systems such as Playerspace, Daxko, and Group Ex Pro to enhance registration and member satisfaction.
- Collaborate with center leadership to ensure appropriate staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation for programs.

- Bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of management experience in YMCA program areas or a similar nonprofit organization.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and support diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and program management software.
- CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
