The Sports Field Monitor will be assigned to oversee and supervise a variety of Y Sports Events.

Responsibilities
- Monitor recreation programs, sports officials, attendees and assist staff as needed
- Assist in monitoring scheduled sport programs, follow-up to ensure opening and/or closing of designated facilities
- Learn the operations of the center (as required) as it relates to:
- Equipment
- Facility systems
- Ensure the officials, instructors, and coaches are available and report in a timely manner.
- Effectively communicate with program managers, specialists, and Y associates, patrons, players, and parents
- Demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Monitor group and individual activities
- Enforce safety rules.
- Interact with patrons as needed.
- Intervene when patrons are not adhering to guidelines and safety regulations.
- Prepare set-up, and clean-up activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in this or a related field.
- Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
- Reflect a positive attitude.
- Must have reliable transportation. Travel around the Greater Kansas City area is required
Salary : $12 - $15
