Overview
This position is responsible for planning, developing and implementing program activities and events for our Youth and Family department under the guidance of the supervisor.

Responsibilities
- Successful planning and coordination of programs and activities.
- Participate in marketing and recruiting activities to attract program participants.
- Assist in managing the departmental operations.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and supervising associates and volunteers.
- Develop associate schedules within established guidelines.
- Assist in expanding current programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- Organize and schedule program registrations and maintain records of program participants.
- Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs.
- Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
- Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Assists in staff meetings.
- Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events.
- Notify supervisor or director on duty of any unsafe conditions, needed repairs, complaints, accidents, or injuries immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in this or a related field.
- Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
- Able to make independent and sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
- Able to exercise high levels of discretion and confidentiality.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills, and be multi-task proficient.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new software.
