Job Skills / Requirements
POSITION PREFERENCES & FUNCTIONS:
- Preferred Age: 19
- Oversee Ropes curriculum and operation
- Maintain high safety standards for all staff and participants
- Log usage of supplies
- Lead in-services in conjunction with Administration team
- Regularly communicate supply inventory/inspection with Administration team
- Complete all Pathfinders for program area
- Ensure cleanliness of program area
- Operate as a Cabin Counselor outside of designated program times
- Team player with personal commitment to YMCA Mission, Philosophy & Character Development Values
- Ensure the emotional, mental, and physical safety of all participants
- Complete required paperwork in timely manner
- Work in tandem with other camp staff to create a safe and welcoming experience for all
- Effectively manage camper behavior and homesickness
- Inform leadership staff of any camper or staff concerns
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, sound judgment, and good decision-making skills
- Be of good character, and in sympathy with the goals and objectives of YMCA Camp Piomingo
- Other duties as assigned
STARTING SALARY: $425 /week (DOE)
SHIFT: Sunday – Friday, daily hourly breaks, housing and meals provided
