This position requires an enthusiastic professional with proven skills in all areas of established Child care operations to include After School Licensed Child Care, Summer Camp, Early Learning Readiness, W.I.L.D. Nature Preschool, family programming, financial management, communication and supervision background. Candidate must be able to nurture a high-performing team of staff, volunteers, community partnerships focused on growing the impact of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility by developing high quality, excellent experiences in youth programming that aids in strengthening the foundations of our community.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- A leader that possesses initiative, enthusiasm, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Oversee vision and operation of branch summer day camps that encompass preschool age through middle school age children, from budgeting, marketing, hiring, training, and scheduling with the camp director, all reporting directly to this position.
- Oversee vision and operation of Spring Break, Fall Break and Winter Break mini child care camps.
- Oversee vision and operation of our Licensed After School Child Care program held at our branch. Writing lesson plans and implementing activities consistent with weekly themes. Also includes supervision of group leaders including coaching and evaluations.
- Record keeping including records of children enrolled, staff and attendance for licensed child care.
- Oversee W.I.L.D. Nature Preschool half day program that is child-driven and guided by certified teachers.
- Organize monthly family program events for our members for all ages. Examples- Cooking, game night, STEM, etc. These programs add value to our members, community, and sense of belonging.
- Ensure all members and participants understand the YMCA’s charitable history by passionately participating in the Annual Campaign.
- All other duties as assigned.
KNOW HOW/REQUIREMENTS:
- Education- Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience in childcare preferred
- Experience working with children and adults
- Experience supervising and training adults
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to develop staff and communicate through multiple generations and formats
- Ability to generate positive revenue through programming
- Experience managing a budget preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
STARTING SALARY: $47,000 (Based on education/experience)
