Position Summary
Under the direction of the Welcome Center Director, the Kid Stop Coordinator will provide exceptional member service and manage daily operations of Kid Stop. The Kid Stop Coordinator is responsible for making all children feel welcome and as part of the YMCA community by creating a fun, safe environment with engaging activities for families to enjoy as a benefit of their YMCA Membership.
The individual should focus on a commitment to our standards of excellence and consistency with regard to member service. The staff person must be willing and able to carry out their duties in a professional manner to ensure member comfort and satisfaction while portraying the four core values of the YMCA, which are caring, honest, respect and responsibility.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess strong and effective written and verbal communication skills to obtain accurate, neat, and precise member information and registration information.
- Be courteous, informed and professional in dealing with clientele.
- Able to make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
- Computer skills are necessary.
- Create an environment where staff, children and parents feel safe and welcomed.
- Manage the hiring/training process of all staff.
- Manage staff schedule to ensure proper ratios.
- Complete knowledge of registration software. Keep open communication with software company to troubleshoot any questions/issues.
- Update child records to include allergies, or special requests where necessary.
- To use Listen First Skills when conversing with members.
- Deal with complaints/problems in a mature and rational manner. Document any injuries or behavior issues. Attempt to resolve if possible and/or relay to supervisor.
- Create daily curriculum with crafts and activities to keep children engaged.
