Description
This position, under the direction of the Executive Director, will operate and serve as the primary on-site staff for the YMCA Military Welcome Center at the Will Rogers International Airport. The Director will directly manage and supervise all volunteers and serve as the main liaison between the YMCA and the Airport leadership staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must stay current in CPRPR/AED/O2 and First Aid, renewed annually.
- Recruit, train and schedule volunteers
- Make presentations to various civic and public organizations regarding the Center
- Ensure Center is stocked with snacks and refreshments at all times.
- Assist military personnel in any way possible
- Ensure that Center is staffed during all operating hours
- Must be able to lift 40-45 pounds
- Develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with members, donors and volunteers
- Represent the YMCA Military Welcome Center at community events and set-up presentations with local veterans and military groups to promote the center and solicit volunteers
Requirements
- Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. (Training provided by the Y, if needed)
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong communication skills including writing and public speaking.
- Knowledge of the military and an understanding of their unique needs.
- Basic computer skills.
- General knowledge of Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.
Salary : $40,000 - $44,000
