Job Summary:
As a Concession Stand Attendant at the YMCA of Greater Omaha, you will provide exceptional customer service while operating the concession stand, processing food orders, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and process food orders
• Operate cash register and handle payment transactions accurately
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
• Prepare and serve food and drinks in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain and restock supplies; communicate when stock is running low
• Uphold cleanliness of stand including but not limited to disposal of garbage and cleaning utensils and appliances
Requirements:
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Previous experience in customer-service and/or food service role preferred but not required
• Ability to learn cash handling and operation of a Point of Sales System (POS)/cash register
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with coworkers and guests
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Recreational environment: aquatics facility, which will require indoor and outdoor exposure
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to speak/communicate clearly and effectively in English with customers and coworkers.
- Must have a basic level reading ability in English to read menu items and process payment transactions.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, walking, sitting, dexterity of fingers and hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, bending/crouching are necessary.
- Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions including occasional lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
- Vision requires the ability to constantly adjust focus, peripheral vision, and close vison to work with customers and handle payment transactions.
- Required work hours may include evening and weekend work.
