POSITION SUMMARY:
This position serves a dual role in the office and in the field ensuring compliance of all federal regulations. The Food Program Monitor is responsible for daily office operations as well as, recruitment, enrollment, support, education and monitoring of licensed and registered childcare providers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Build rapport with providers.
- Ability to organize, plan effectively, and multi-task.
- Daily operations answering phones, filing, making copies.
- Follow through on requests, meets deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Processing monthly claims.
- Maintains an accurate system of records and reports.
- Monitoring daycare facilities as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively including written reports.
- Ability to offer technical assistance to ensure compliance.
- Ability to work varying hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Ability to travel to assigned territory as needed.
- All other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Two years of experience in related field required.
- Experience with CACFP program preferred.
- Candidate must be willing to travel throughout the 26 counties of the Western Pennsylvania.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation required.
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
