The YMCA of Greater Providence is seeking a Part-Time Youth Activity Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting the Site Coordinator in planning and implementing high-quality after-school activities that support skill building and social-emotional development.
Main Responsibilities
- Activity Planning: Assist in planning daily and monthly activities that are academically aligned and suitable for school-age children.
- Supervision and Support: Supervise and provide support to children assigned to your activity area, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
- Leadership and Communication: Lead activities, promote the values of inclusion and equity, and maintain open communication with colleagues and parents.
- Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development through reading and further education, staying up-to-date on best practices in child development and youth programming.
Required Qualifications
- Education and Age: Must be 18 years old and have a high-school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications: Obtain Child Abuse Prevention Training, New Employee Orientation, and RI DHS and MA EEC requirements before working with children.
