The YMCA of Greater Providence is seeking a motivated and experienced Swimming Instructor Professional to join our aquatics team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of swimmers, from beginner to advanced levels.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Develop and deliver high-quality swimming lessons, incorporating National YMCA guidelines and NCAA standards.
- Collaborate with Head Coaches to create training plans and set goals for swimmers.
- Provide feedback and guidance to swimmers, helping them improve their skills and performance.
- Conduct pool safety checks and ensure a clean and organized swimming area.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting character development and teamwork among swimmers.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Competitive Swimming and Coaching experience preferred.
- First Aid and CPR Certification, YMCA Lifeguard Certification, and Oxygen Administration Certificate.
