The Frank J. Thornton YMCA Aquatics Center is currently seeking a full-time, dedicated and experienced Associate Director to ensure the safety of our members and program participants!

DUTIES
The Associate Director of Aquatics will be responsible for the planning, implementation and supervision of aquatics programs, with a focus on swim lessons, water safety days, Learn to Swim, pool maintenance, and aquatics events. Specific responsibilities include developing and implementing programs; coordination and scheduling of swim lessons and other programs; overseeing the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff; communications with members and program participants; and oversight and maintenance of our pools. The Associate Director of Aquatics will work closely and collaboratively with other departments to engage members and provide excellent service, as well as partnering with schools and community members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have at least six months of lifeguarding experience, strong communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to successfully implement YMCA of Greater Richmond safety standards and facility Emergency Action Plan. Applicants must be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Applicants must also have current CPR-Pro, AED, First Aid, and YMCA/Red Cross/Ellis lifeguard certifications. Must hold O2 certification, or obtain within 30 days of hire.

- Competitive salary range: up to $45 based on experience and qualifications.
