The Shady Grove Family YMCA is seeking a part time lead teacher to develop and lead programs tailored to the needs of preschool children and their parents. The pay for this position is $17.00 per hour.
DUTIES of a Lead Preschool Teacher
Responsibilities include planning and implementing lesson plans, and communicating effectively with children, parents, and staff. Seeking an energetic individual that enjoys being with young children. Knowledge of creative curriculum or similar curriculum preferred, but not required.
QUALIFICATIONS of a Lead Preschool Teacher
Must meet the Virginia Department of Social Services' requirements for Child Care Program Leaders
- An Associate's Degree in early childhood or elementary education is required; Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
- Two or more years of experience working with pre-school children in a group setting is necessary
- CPR / First Aid certification required within 60 days of employment
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
