Job Title: Bus Driver for Childcare Programs
Summary:
This role supports the YMCA's mission by providing safe transportation to and from program sites while maintaining a positive atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a clean driving record, and experience working with children.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a 15-passenger bus safely according to YMCA policies and state laws.
- Complete thorough before-and-after trip checks each day, record information, and maintain bus cleanliness.
- Promote safety at all times, keep first aid supplies stocked, and enforce bus rules.
- Develop friendly relationships among staff, volunteers, parents, and children.
Requirements:
- At least one year of work experience as a bus driver preferred.
- Hold an appropriate class license.
- Familiarity with commercial passenger vehicle guidelines.
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of hire.
- Desire to work with children and build strong relationships.
Salary:
$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
