What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Basketball Referee, Polk County (NC) position at YMCA of Greater Spartanburg?
This is a temporary position beginning January 6th and ending February 22nd.
Monday-Thursday 5:30-8:30 pm, Saturday 9 am - noon.
Wage is dependent on certification and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:.
1. High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
2. Strong verbal communication skills.
3. At least 16 years of age.
4. Basketball knowledge/experience is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.

Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.

Must be able to lift and/or assist children up to 50 pounds in weight.

Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, and walking.

Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.

Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.

Assist with implementing rules and regulations of youth sports programming.
