Location: YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg
Are you passionate about creating meaningful programs that bring people together and make a lasting impact? The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Program Coordinator to develop, organize, and lead high-quality programs for youth, families, and older adults in our community.
What You'll Do:
As Program Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind a variety of community-focused activities. You'll:
- Plan and implement engaging events and activities for all age groups, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Create and manage program calendars and schedules.
- Recruit, train, and lead volunteers, building strong community partnerships.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth program execution.
- Support YMCA-wide events and fundraising initiatives.
- Evaluate and enhance programs to meet the evolving needs of our community.
- Coordinate use of YMCA spaces for programming and events.
What You'll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Youth Development or related field preferred).
- At least 1 year of experience in youth, family, or community programming.
- Previous experience coordinating events.
- Proven ability to organize and manage events or activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working with diverse groups of all ages.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Availability to work Tuesday through Saturday, including evenings.
