POSITION SUMMARY:
In alignment with the mission and vision of the YMCA of Honolulu, the Director of College & Career Readiness collaborates closely with fellow YMCA team members under the leadership of the Program Executive Director of Teens & Young Adults. This pivotal role assumes primary responsibility for the management, dynamic development, and exceptional execution of our College-Aged programs. Tasked with ensuring the seamless delivery of top-tier programs and services, the Director of College & Career Readiness operates with precision, adhering to established policies and procedures while strategically advancing the Association's overarching goals. Key duties encompass the cultivation of a thriving team culture through effective leadership and professional development, driving program retention and expansion initiatives, and adeptly managing reports and expenses. Our College & Career Readiness programs will focus on providing quality support services and diverse opportunities for those interested in college-readiness or career exploration. Additionally, the Director plays a central role in fostering and fortifying invaluable relationships and partnerships with educational institutions, colleges, and community organizations. The Director of College & Career Readiness will have a pivotal role in emphasizing our Atherton Branch’s areas of focus: College Readiness, Career Exploration, and Service Learning, thus facilitating the design and implementation of impactful opportunities at the Y.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drives program quality, ensuring all programs are always enhancing participant experience
- Direct oversight of funding that supports college and career exploration programs including but not limited to: Student Board, Student Engagement, College Camp, ASB: Moloka’i, ASB: Philippines, FROSH Camp, scholarship opportunities, Internship & Practicum Mentorship, Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement
- Collaborate with department leads, branch executives, and other organizational leaders to effectively execute programs
- Provide direct leadership of the management, implementation, and accountability of Association
- program grants and funding that supports young adult programs
- Works with the Program Executive Director in establishing annual budgets
- College degree in Social Services, Public Health, Education, or related field; or 4 years equivalent in related work experience preferred
- 3 years of related experience with staff and/or volunteer supervisory responsibilities required
- Ability to plan, organize and implement focus area programs
- Excellent skills in staff and volunteer supervision and development, budget analysis, communication, and human relations
- 2 years of experience in working with older teens or young adults is preferred
- Ability to motivate individuals, lead a team, and conduct training
- Ability to work with parents, children, staff, and volunteers of diverse ethnic populations
- Adult and child CPR or CPR/PR, First Aid, and AED Certifications within 30 days of hire date
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Bus Driver’s certification required within 6 months of hire, which include a valid driver’s license and clean traffic abstract
- Ability to travel from one location to another in a timely location required
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Windows XP, Canva, preferred
