The YMCA of Indiana County is now seeking candidates for Summer Camp Counselor positions. Experience working with children or students in a camp, tutoring, or childcare setting is desired.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with campers in activities and programs in a group setting.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for campers to learn and grow.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
- Ability to provide Christian counseling and support to campers.
Physical Requirements (not all inclusive)
- Ability to work outdoor for entire shift if necessary (Mack Park)
- Ability to maintain high level of activity (including running if necessary).
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, move from the ground to standing.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds occasionally.
