Job Title: SACC Site Supervisor
Status: Part-Time Position
Pay Range: $17.25-18.75
Reports to: Senior Youth Development Director Position
Hour Range: 25 hr. min to 35 hr. max
Locations: Ons-site, Cassavant, Groton
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide supervision of the SACC program, along with the associated SACC staff. The Site Supervisor is an enthusiastic, engaged, creative, and organized leader. Planning, facilitation and supervision of before and After School program and counselors. Under direction of Senior Youth Development Director, the Site Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the program. Employee’s primary goal is to ensure the safety of all children while providing a fostering, nurturing and safe program environment for both children and staff alike.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist Senior Youth Development Director with evaluating staff based on job description and performance standards.
2. Ensure that DSS and New York State regulations and guidelines are being followed in regards to the YMCA as a provider for youth programming
3. Assist Senior Youth Development Director with ensuring staff payroll is completed each pay period (collect, and signed)
4. Ensure behavioral reports, incident reports, and sign-in & sign-out sheets are completed.
5. Handle/discipline/behavior issues as well as communication promptly with parents/guardians regarding children’sprogress and behavior.
6. Enhance and practice the character development traits: honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.
7. Participate in developing and instructing enrichment activities for youth.
8. Participate in maintaining program records and reports (i.e. attendance, CACFP, Photo Waiver, Meal Counts & emergency records).
9. Ensure that safety and security of children is a priority. Ensure that the required identification monitoring of all persons
picking children up from the program is happening on an ongoing basis.
10. Assist Senior Youth Development Director with planning, implementing, and facilitating, child care program plans for the school year, including themes, program supplies, program food, collaborations with community, and special guests
11. Provide safety awareness and leadership for staff and children.
12. Have daily verbal communication with staff, children, parents, and YMCA directors. Provide parents with as much information prior to “event” via written material, bulletin boards, white boards, and tripod flip charts.
13. Assist Senior Youth Development Director in planning and conducting parent meetings to encourage congruence between SACC staff, parents, and children.
14. Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with staff and parents.
15. Attend all staff trainings, including Red Cross, disabilities, child abuse, etc., along with monthly staff SACC meetings
16. Take weekly inventory of food and all program supplies
17. Facilitate and staff the full day program.
18. Observe necessary precautions to ensure the safety of program participants and maintain a clean, professional looking environment.
19. Engage children in all daily activities
20. Assist Senior Youth Development Director with leading monthly staff meetings.
21. Maintain DSS regulations and adult to child ratios.
22. Supervise SACC counselors; provide breaks for staff if needed (half day).
23. Complete all necessary paper work and child files for the upcoming SACC school year.
24. File all behavior and incident reports at the end of each day.
25. Ensure correct procedures, tracking, storage and all parameters of CACFP food program is practiced
26. Supervise administration of authorized medications to children as indicated by emergency medical card and parent manual.
27. Other duties as necessary and appropriated by Senior Youth Development Director
28. Follow the YMCA policy & guidelines concerning HEPA as well as participating and encouraging the children to live their healthiest life.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A high school diploma and 2-years of experience in developing, organizing, supervision, implementing and leading child care programs and/or classes for youth ages 5-13.
2. At least 18 years of age.
3. CPR, First Aid, AED certifications, Foundations of Health & Safety training and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
4. Organization and record keeping experience is a requirement.
5. Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
6. Previous experience with diverse populations preferred. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
