Description : The DAY ONE Teacher Apprenticeship Program (DAY ONE TAP) through the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County is an engaging 10-week, full-time opportunity designed for teachers and aspiring educators of all experience levels. Eight participants will be selected to work alongside master teachers in early childhood classrooms across the Kingston area. Each day, they’ll spend five hours teaching in the classroom, followed by two and a half hours in an afternoon course focused on reflection, professional development, and preparation for the next day. This collaborative program encourages the sharing of materials, strategies, and resources, helping participants build a strong network of support. By the end of the program, teachers will have gained valuable tools and ongoing professional guidance to advance their careers.
