We are seeking a dedicated Property Director to oversee facility maintenance and ensure the safety and functionality of YMCA Centers within the assigned district.
Job Summary
The Property Director is responsible for maintaining and managing YMCA facilities, including mechanical systems, building structures, and grounds. This role involves implementing preventative maintenance programs, overseeing repairs, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure all mechanical systems are operating efficiently.
- Manage maintenance projects and supervise contractors.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Develop and execute annual maintenance and capital improvement plans.
- Partner with Center Directors to address facility needs and concerns.
- Manage budgets and track maintenance projects using facility management software.
- Travel between multiple YMCA locations as needed.
- Manage and oversee facility safety during adverse weather conditions, including snow and ice removal services to ensure safe access to all buildings.
- Responsible for ensuring facilities are safe by preparing them for and providing snow/ice removal during inclement weather.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in facility maintenance.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must obtain within 30 days of employment).
- CPO or equivalent certification (must obtain within 120 days of employment).
- Valid driver’s license meeting YMCA standards.
Work Environment
- Regularly required to climb stairs, bend, kneel, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
