What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool After-School Teacher position at YMCA OF METROPOLITAN DALLAS?

Hours: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES / POSITION RESPONSIBILITY
- Safety is first - responsible for the safety of the children at all times, including emergency procedures and safety drills as necessary.
- Assist with planning and implementing enrichment activities for children aged 3 to 5 years old in an after-school setting.
- Follow minimum standards set through DFPS and The YMCA branch.
- Assist with set up and clean up of classroom daily.
- Must be able to communicate with children, parents, and volunteers positively and effectively.
- Attend staff meetings and in-service training (30 hours annually).
- Must be able to follow the YMCA Minimum Standards in dealing with day-to-day operations of the Preschool Program. Follow policies regarding dress code and appropriate conduct.
