Carter, Jr. Downtown YMCA is excited to offer an 8-week Summer Internship designed for economics majors seeking hands-on experience in financial management, program development, and nonprofit administration. This immersive opportunity provides students with direct exposure to strategic decision-making and economic applications in a dynamic nonprofit setting.

- District Executive Director: Multi-branch below, fundraising, partnerships, and financial management.
- Membership Director: Customer acquisition, retention strategies, pricing models, and revenue forecasting.
- Wellness & Aquatics Director: Program creation, budgeting, and operational efficiencies in fitness and aquatics.
- Financial Management: Budgeting, forecasting, and revenue strategies.
- Membership & Program Development: Customer retention, pricing strategies, and program impact.
- Fundraising & Nonprofit Impact: Donor engagement, economic influences on charitable giving, and strategic resource allocation.
- Data Analysis & Decision-Making: Understanding economic trends and applying data-driven strategies.
- Direct mentorship from YMCA senior leadership.
- Exposure to nonprofit financial strategies and real-world economic applications.
- Capstone project & presentation to YMCA executives.
- Networking opportunities within the Fort Worth business community.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or related field.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Interest in nonprofit management, economic development, or financial strategy.
