Lead, Inspire, and Keep the Game Going as a Part-Time Youth Sports Coordinator!

As a Youth Sports Coordinator, you'll oversee youth sports programs, ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and successfully. From coordinating leagues and schedules to mentoring volunteer coaches and engaging with families, your leadership will make a lasting impact on our young athletes.
What You'll Do:
Oversee Youth Sports Programs - Coordinate leagues, schedules, and activities for basketball, soccer, baseball, and more!
Engage & Inspire Young Athletes - Foster a positive, inclusive environment where kids can develop confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship
Support & Train Coaches - Work with volunteer coaches to ensure they are onboarded and have the tools and guidance to lead effective practices and games
Communicate with Parents & Participants - Keep families informed, address questions, and promote upcoming programs
Ensure Safety & Program Excellence - Maintain equipment, oversee game-day logistics, and uphold YMCA safety and sportsmanship standards
What We're Looking For:
- Passion for Youth Sports & Development - Experience in sports programming, coaching, or recreation management is a plus!
- Energetic & Organized Leader - Ability to juggle multiple leagues, schedules, and teams while keeping everything running smoothly
- Strong Communication & Relationship-Building Skills - Work effectively with kids, parents, volunteers, and community partners
- Experience in Program Administration - Background in event coordination, youth development, or recreation management preferred
Certifications & Requirements:
- CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or ASHI (must be obtained within 60 days of hire, no online only certifications accepted)
