Job Summary
The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, facilities management, and maintenance practices. The Maintenance Director will lead a team of maintenance professionals, develop maintenance strategies, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the supervision of the maintenance operations of camp.
- Responsible for annual maintenance budget and tracking of expenses.
- Supervise two part-time employees year-round, and one part-time housekeeper for four months of the year.
- Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of grounds and facilities.
- Responsible for security of camp.
- Responsible for risk management of the camp.
- Responsible for maintenance of all vehicles and equipment at camp.
- Maintain schedules and records of equipment and facilities maintenance.
- Perform and document monthly inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Maintain effective recycling and waste reduction program.
- Perform other functions as assigned by the executive director.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Three or more years experience in facilities management, or related field.
- Must demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication.
- Outgoing, friendly, and enthusiastic personality. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to accept supervision and guidance as well as constructive feedback.
- Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
- Completion of YMCA trainings within a required time frame.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
