- Assume full responsibility for all the campers in your cabin 24 hours a day, besides from assigned time off.
- Committed to making a positive impact in the lives of the kids we serve through teaching and participating in activities, social skills, and other aspects
- Follow all camp policies and COVID-19 protocols in order to mitigate safety and health risks
- Provide leadership trainees with formal evaluations to coach them on their developing leadership skills
- Provide kids ages 7-17 exceptional programming and enriching life experiences through planning and executing activities.
- Work to ensure that all campers and staff feel included, welcomed, and safe at camp
- Be a role model to campers and staff!
- Must be at least 18 years of age; one year of college education is preferred
- First Aid, CPR, AED certified before the start of staff training
- Must be able work outdoors for the majority of the day
- Requires participation with and leadership of youth in a wide variety of physical activities; requires the ability to traverse the campgrounds on a frequent basis throughout the day
- Good communication skills are required; must be able to interact with campers, parents, and co-workers
- Must exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all aspects of work with the YMCA
