Salary range: $22-38/hour based on experience and availability. In addition, we offer a 10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities
You'll provide excellent service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include:
- Set an example of healthy living and personal fitness.
- Prepare routines and/or choreography within YMCA standards.
- Arrive prior to the class time to set up equipment/music and to encourage members.
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of members and staff. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or concerns within the facility.
- Provide excellent service to all members and notify supervisor of member needs, supplies or other items needed to ensure program quality and member satisfaction.
- Ensure that safe movement and technique is utilized by every member in all classes.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and maintain records on any incidents.
- Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CPR, First Aid, AED
- National Certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction OR YMCA Group Exercise Certification
- Boxing Instructor Certification
- At least one year of experience teaching group exercise classes preferred
