Overview
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Infant Nursery Supervisor (INS) provides direction for the infant program and classroom, implements daily program curriculum, ensures safety procedures are being implemented and assists in the direction and management of Assistant Teachers. The INS provides a quality experience to infants and their parents that focuses on exceptional individualized childcare, building trusting relationships and represents the YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring and inclusion.
Salary range is $19-27/hour based on experience. This position is year round, full-time 40 hours per week paid hourly with benefits.

Responsibilities
- Implements curriculum within the established guidelines
- Works in partnership with parents to develop and administer individualized daily care plans
- Supervises the infants in the program and ensures all licensing and safety requirements are met
- Supervises and directs Assistant Teachers
- Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child
- Ensures program is consistently following all YMCA, Colorado Department of Health and Human services and Health department expectations
- Conducts parent conferences and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents. Engages parents in program activities and events
- Maintains program site and equipment
- Maintains required program records, registration forms and medications
- Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Meets or exceeds Infant Nursery Supervisor qualifications through CDHS
- Minimum 1 year experience working with infants in a supervisory role
- Minimum age requirements of 21
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens
- Ability to work with a wide range of age groups, demographics and have ability to collaborate well with a number of groups and individuals
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Ability and desire to embrace the mission of the YMCA
