Overview
Under the supervision of the Media Coordinator, the Media Specialist will be responsible for the visual, virtual representation of our camp. The Media Specialist is expected to take videos and photos of campers, staff, and activities that occur during each session and produce an "End of Session" Video by the end of each session. The Media Specialists in conjunction with the Media Coordinator will work with our Association Marketing Department and the Director team to curate our camp's social media presence. This will include editing photos and videos to post on our various social media pages. Your goal is to ensure that YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake's online image is every bit as amazing and inspiring as it is in person!
Pay Rate: $425.00/week. This position requires you to live at camp. Room and board are included.

Responsibilities
- With a team of 3-4 other Media Specialists, capture camper photos and videos daily to meet the camp community needs, including both resident and day camp.
- Reports directly to the Media Coordinator.
- Lives in cabin or glamping tent accommodations.
- Implement feedback from the Director team, YMCA of Northern Colorado Marketing team, and camper families as needed to reach photo and video goals.
- Contribute daily media uploads to Waldo, our private photo platform for camper families, under the supervision of the Media Coordinator.
- Utilizes Adobe Creative Cloud to curate high quality photos for social media.
- Utilizes YMCA media equipment with care and maintains inventory of all equipment.
- Assists the Media Coordinator with maintaining YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake social media platforms to ensure that outreach goals are met on a weekly basis.
- Helps create 10 - 90 second videos showing different aspects of camp life to be scheduled to post on social media throughout the school year after the summer has ended.
- Document staff memories via photos and videos throughout the summer.
- Maintain a professional online presence for YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake through social media and other platforms.
- Work with the YMCA of Northern Colorado Marketing team on special projects.
- Maintains camper ratio in resident and day camp as needed.
- Maintain a professional presence for YMCA Camp Tumbleson Lake through appropriate staff and camper interactions and adheres to Associations and Camps codes of conduct.
- Attends all scheduled bus chaperone assignments on Check-In and Check-Out days.
- Attend all required staff meetings on time.
- Adheres to program standards and expectations including safety and cleanliness standards.
- Models’ relationship-building skills for campers and staff.
- Drives Y vehicles on and off site as needed.
- Problem solves, communicates, and documents camper behavioral issues as they arise, and passes them off to leadership staff members as needed.
- Incorporate the mission, philosophy, and 5 core values of the YMCA of Northern Colorado in all communication with participants and staff-members.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience with photoshop and video editing and a wide range of equipment preferred.
- Must have a valid US driving license.
- Completion of: Child Abuse Prevention, CPR/AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens (We provide this as part of staff training)
- Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
