What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Maintenance Director position at YMCA of Northwest North Carolina?
The Associate Maintenance Director works with the Property Director to maintain the physical facilities of YMCA Camp Hanes. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
General maintenance of property and buildings
The ability to keep track of supplies on hand, and order supplies as needed
Execute and adapt, as needed, the preventive maintenance plan for the camp and its resources
Working closely with program staff to ensure that any problems faced by guests are handled in an efficient and timely way
Working with the Maintenance Director and Executive Director on property assessment and make recommendations as to future improvements and expansions
Assisting the Maintenance Director in managing the pool chemicals and mechanical room.
Facility repair work around camp.
The Associate Director will have a can-do attitude and strong work ethic, as well as being a good team player. Many times at camp, solutions are not easy and require a willingness to work to find a solution that benefits both our camp and our guests. The Associate Director should have strong problem solving skills and a positive attitude!

The Associate Facility Director should have a working knowledge of many different facets of property maintenance including, but not limited to:
Basic electrical replacement and troubleshooting
Plumbing
Carpentry skills and Code maintenance
Mechanical know-how in regards to small engines, automobiles and farm equipment
Painting and staining experience
Pool operations and safety
General maintenance of property and buildings
