Salary: $13.00 - $13.00 Hourly
Job Schedule: Variable
The Before and After School Academy Counselor will provide guidance and support to children in our before and after school programs. This role requires a strong ability to build relationships with staff, students, and parents, as well as maintain accurate records and follow YMCA policies and procedures.
Coordinate programs in accordance with YMCA guidelines, ensuring all materials are prepared and accessible.
Build effective relationships with staff, students, and parents, and encourage parent involvement and identify potential volunteers.
Maintain accurate records, including site checklists, attendance, food service, staff and student forms, and other necessary documents.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be a team player, and be able to work with minimal supervision. This role requires the ability to work a variable schedule, including before and after school hours, and be available for out-of-school days.
