The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is seeking an energetic and compassionate Swim Lesson Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Lesson Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching swimming lessons to children and adults in a safe and fun environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with YMCA guidelines.
- Build effective relationships with students and parents, and encourage parent involvement.
- Convey information on aquatics programs and schedules, and refer students and parents to other programs as appropriate.
- Maintain records of attendance and progress reports.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- At least 16 years of age.
- YMCA Swim Instructor certification, or equivalent (Achieve within 90 days).
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid certification, and Emergency Oxygen.
- Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
- Desire to work with individuals of all ages.
- Strong organizational, verbal, written, and customer service skills.
