Description
The YMCA is looking to hire a Sports Instructor who will be under the supervision of the Sports Program Director. This position would be responsible for the development and coordination sports activities for the Sports Program. We are looking to hire this position at $16.50 an hour. The schedule would be Tuesday or Thursday evenings and Sundays 12pm-8:30pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Responsible for developing and conducting group, private and semi-private lessons, clinics, classes, leagues and camps for children.
- Make cold calls to generate new clients.
- Responsible for registering participants and promoting.
- Instruct participants.
- Follow SOP, general guidelines, and sport specific rules.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Certifications & Experience Required:
- Must be 18 years of age. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Skills/Abilities:
- Must have experience in sports
- Must understand developmental learning.
- Must be able to work with children ages 3 to 15 years old.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer and results orientation.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
