Description
The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for an evening Custodian. Custodians are responsible for performing general maintenance and custodial duties. Hours will be Monday - Friday, approx. 2 : 00pm - 10 : 00pm. Weekends and events as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES :
- Perform facility and equipment inspections, identify maintenance and housekeeping needs.
- Ensure compliance with established procedures, policies and standards related to health and safety. Complete routine risk assessments and correct deficiencies. Report incidents promptly.
- Execute the facility preventative maintenance plan on equipment and structures daily and monthly.
- Assisting with branch program needs via equipment and special event preparation.
- Work as part of the association property team and safety team, on projects and goals.
- Perform maintenance & custodial tasks.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Complete work orders and other paperwork and documentation.
- Maintain maintenance and custodial supplies.
- Follow and enforce safety standards and other policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Carry out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties & responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and / or geographic location.
Education & Certifications : Must be 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Clean driving record required. Must obtain First Aid & CPR certifications within 60 days of employment.
Experience & Background : 2 years of experience required.
