The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Weight Room Attendant to join our team!

As a Weight Room Attendant, you will engage with members and maintain a clean, safe, and organized fitness floor. You will also be responsible for providing a quality experience to members and participants focused on YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with members as they enter and exit the Fitness Center
- Deliver youth equipment orientations, and assist members with spotting or form during their workouts
- Ensure the fitness area remains clean and organized; dumbbells, weight plates, bars, and ensure equipment is working

- YMCA Foundations of Strength and Conditioning and/or Foundations of Group Exercise certification or equivalent, such as ACE, ACSM, or AFAA certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of basic health and fitness principles and components, exercise prescription and strength training machines preferred
- You have a positive attitude and previous experience with youth and diverse populations.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred).
- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Wage: $16.66 to $16.78 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
Location: Tom Taylor Family YMCA, Gig Harbor, WA
