The Bus Driver/After Care Assistant teacher will help support the day-to-day operations of the after-school program including transportation on daily routes, activities, arts and crafts, games, educational programs, and homework.

Responsibilities
- Transport children on daily routes and weekly field trips
- Always promotes safety by keeping first aid supplies on bus fully stocked
- Ensures the bus rules are announced and followed
- Complete thorough before-and-after trip checks each day and records all information, such as gas level, mileage, and maintenance designated forms
- Cleans out bus each day
- Helps with the daily operations of the afterschool
- Assists with activities such as homework, games, arts and crafts, and educational programs
- Enforces all YMCA childcare rules and regulations and ensures safety
- Greets new arrivals and introduces them to other
- Reports camper complaints to leadership and helps to resolve the complaints
- Supervises and interacts with children
- Assists in organization of age-appropriate activities
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess appropriate class license
- Safe driving record. A current MVR will be required
- Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to commercial passenger vehicles (bus)
- Previous experience working with children
- Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills

Posted Salary Range
USD $14.81 - USD $16.50 /Hr.Salary : $15 - $17
