In this role, you'll lead the recruitment and training of coaches, volunteers, and officials, ensuring they are equipped to serve as positive role models and uphold the YMCA's standards of excellence. You'll also oversee the maintenance and preparation of sports facilities, ensuring they are safe and accessible for participants. Through innovative practices and program evaluation, you'll ensure our offerings meet the evolving needs of the community while maintaining financial sustainability.
We're looking for someone with at least six years of experience in recreation, physical education, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a history of program growth and a strong ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers and staff. You'll need excellent organizational skills, a passion for youth and adult sports, and a demonstrated commitment to YMCA values. Evening and weekend availability is required, along with the ability to lift at least 25 pounds. CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
