- TB clearance within the last two years.

Stonestown YMCA is seeking an Academic Liaison for Jose Ortega Elementary School
Make a meaningful impact by bridging school-day administration with engaging after-school youth programming. We're seeking a dynamic Academic Liaison to align academic goals, foster collaboration between school staff and youth programs, and support students' academic success and socio-emotional growth.
Position Summary
The Academic Liaison ensures the alignment of vision, expectations, and outcomes between the After School Program (ASP) and the school day, with a focus on academic components. The Academic Liaison uses student data to inform planning and implementation, supports behavior and culture initiatives, and fosters collaboration between the ASP Site Coordinator and school leadership.
Job Responsibilities
Program Alignment & Planning:
- Align ASP academic goals with school-day objectives, implementing ExCEL’s Theory of Action to support students' academic success and socio-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with the ASP Site Coordinator and school leadership to develop and monitor the ASP Quality Action Plan and cohesive operations.
- Use student data to plan and implement ASP academic components, including individual or small group interventions, differentiated homework support, and tutoring programs.
Professional Development & Staff Support:
- Provide professional development and coaching for ASP staff, including training sessions, specialized development, and leading Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
- Support planning and execution of professional development days on non-school days.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Act as a communication bridge between school-day and ASP staff to promote shared goals and best practices.
Direct Student Support:
- Provide direct tutoring sessions in individual or group formats to students based on site needs.
Administrative Duties:
- Attend mandatory staff meetings, training sessions, and ExCEL meetings.
Salary Description
The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 - $50.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and alignment with salary benchmarks for similar roles. Compensation is in accordance with grant funding approval and program budget requirements.
