Job Description
The YMCA of South Florida's Family Service Department is hiring energetic, outgoing people to work in our before and after-school programs throughout the county. Summer Camp Counselors are responsible for the daily supervision of a group of up to 25 children. Duties include planning and implementing activities for the children in community before and after-school programs. Candidates must enjoy working with children ages 5-12 and be able to work in multiple settings such as public and private school grounds.
Areas in need of staff are the following: Allapattah, Aventura, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Doral Hialeah, Homestead, Kendall, Liberty City, Key Biscayne, Little Havanna, Miami Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miami Shores, North Beach, North Miami, Pinecrest, South Miami, Sunny Isles and West Kendall.
Positions Requirements:
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday between 7am - 6pm.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
- Must be able to successfully pass a fingerprint background screening and a pre-employment drug test.
- If new to Childcare, must register and complete part 1 (24 hours) of the State required 45-hour childcare course within 90 days of being hired; 45 Course hours must be completed within 1 year of employment.
