We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Rural Food Supervisor/Coordinator. In this role, you will oversee and manage staff during all facets of rural feeding process ensuring items are packed appropriately and by food safety standards. This position is required to be onsite at all distribution sites, possess excellent communications and organizational skills, a high level of detail is essential, and demonstrate a strong commitment to ensuring food safety and timely distribution

Onsite Requirements:
Attendance at all distributions sites for summer, Tuesday-Thursday, is required at these locations:
o Speer Senter , DeSosto County
o Harlem Civic Center, Hendry County
o Moore Haven Library, Glades County
Ensure Compliance with SFSP Standards: Follow all established policies and procedures to guarantee adherence to SFSP guidelines and regulations, as well as company policies, to ensure the proper handling, storage, and transportation of food.
Maintain Proper Documentation: Ensure that all required documentation is accurately maintained, updated, and stored in accordance with program standards.
Meet Deadlines: Ensure all required tasks are completed within established timelines to ensure smooth program operation and compliance.
Packing Food: Oversee the packing process to ensure all items are securely packed, labeled, and organized for easy access during delivery.
Loading Food: Assist staff with loading packed food bags into delivery vehicles, ensuring that the food is safely and efficiently arranged for transportation. Ensuring that food is delivered on time and according to the planned schedule.
Food Distribution: Ensure accurate food distributionto the appropriate locations as well as ensuring those who visit our sites are qualified for food distribution services.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of packed food items and report any
shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Quality Control: Ensure that all food items meet quality standards and are packed in a sanitary, safe, and organized manner.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow in the packing and distribution process.
Maintenance: Ensure all team members keepthe packing areasclean, organized, and well-
maintained for a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food handling, packing, or distribution (preferred).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy bags or containers (up to 50 lbs.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- This position may require working in a warehouse or food storage environment, with exposure to varying temperatures.
- The role may involve standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods of time.
- Flexible working hours may be required, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on food distribution schedules.
