POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists with the supervision of a group of children in a early childhood or school aged childcare site. Helps with Sign in and out after school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in supervision of a group of children.
- Provides assistance in planning and implementation of the daily program.
- Performs general housekeeping tasks; helps maintain clean and safe area.
- Prepares and serves snacks. Cleans snack area.
- Applies YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Attends staff meetings and training programs.
- Demonstrate the "Character Counts" values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all your dealings with members, guests, volunteers and fellow staff.
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meets educational and experience qualifications established by state law (if the state sets requirements. The YMCA should establish minimum qualification standards if the state has no requirements).
- Must be able to work legally
- Monday through Friday 230-6
- Current state approved first-aid certification.
- Current state approved infant/child (or community if school aged) CPR certification
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities.
- This position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Salary : $16 - $17
