The YMCA of the Chippewa Valley is excited to hire a Member Service Lead at our Eau Claire location. This is a dynamic position under the supervision of the Member Service Manager, where you'll play a key role in providing outstanding customer service to our members, guests, and staff. You will also assist the Membership Director with administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.
This role requires occasional weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to online customers, ensuring they have a seamless experience
- Register members for programs and events
- Respond to emails in a timely, professional manner
- Answer incoming calls, provide assistance, and transfer calls as needed
- Lead facility tours and promote membership opportunities
- Greet members and monitor check-ins at the front desk
- Maintain a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors
- Professionally handle conflict and work towards appropriate resolutions
- Assist with various administrative duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor
- Attend monthly team meetings to ensure ongoing communication and development

Key Qualifications:
- Available and dependable for shifts.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable with customer interaction in person, over the phone, and online
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and being part of a positive team environment
- Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Previous customer service, sales or related experience is preferred.
- Ability to train and lead others.
- Intermediate knowledge of computers.
- Trained in Daxko a plus.
- Positive OUTGOING attitude, good communication skills, team player, & professional. Enjoy being around people, reliable, & adaptable.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (within first 6 months of employment, paid for by the YMCA).
- 18 years or older.
