The YMCA is now hiring for Summer Lifeguards!
Are you ready to make a splash this summer? The YMCA is looking for energetic, responsible, and friendly individuals to join our lifeguard team! If you love being around water, keeping others safe, and working in a fun and supportive environment, this is the job for you!
Not currently Lifeguard certified, but want to be? Make note of that when you apply; the YMCA is able to train and certify you!
What You'll Do:
- Keep an eye on swimmers and ensure everyone's safety in and around the pool
- Enforce pool rules in a friendly, approachable way
- Respond to emergencies with confidence and professionalism
- Provide excellent customer service to the YMCA members
- Help create a positive, fun, and welcoming atmosphere
What We're Looking For:
- 16
- Current Lifeguard Certification (we can help you get certified if you don't have it)
- A love for swimming and working as a team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and act quickly when needed
- Must be reliable and show up on time
